The Ethiopia Meat Industry Portal (EMIP) is a platform for sharing information pertinent to meat production, processing, and export trade in Ethiopia with the aim of improving awareness of the meat industry of Ethiopia thereby promoting the export market. It provides better and easier access to information for the targeted audiences.

Purpose

The EMIP provides updated information on Ethiopian meat production, processing and trade. It also serves as a learning platform through E-learning hub and by availing important documentations. News related to Ethiopian meat industry will be published on the web to reach wider public. Overall, it aims to uncover the potential and the best quality palatable and tender livestock meat from Ethiopia to the world.

The Ethiopia Meat Industry Portal is designed by the Ethiopia Agriculture Authority (EAA) in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It has a public interface comprising several pages including About, Dashboard, Livestock Species, Resource, Learning hub, Abattoir profile and E-Service.

The targeting audiences are local and international stakeholders and traders involved in the meat industry in order to promote Ethiopian meat trade. It will have paramount importance to enhance the meat export market and improve livestock production in general.
