AL-NUJUM EXPORT SLAUGHTERHOUSE PLC was established in 2012. The plant is located in dukem City of Oromia Region, just 35 Km away from the Ethiopian Capital Addis Ababa. The plant is built on a 31,000 m2 land and is well equipped with the state-of- the- art lughtering technologies. The Abattoir has a daily slaughtering capacity of 3,000 heads of goat or sheep and 500 heads of cattle or camels. It has chilling capacity of 60 tons of meat at a time. It has blast freezing capacity of 30 tons meat per day and a cold storage capacity of 150tonnes of frozen products. The plant is approved by the strict food safety regulation of the Ethiopian quarantine Inspection services; Halal and ISO 22000: 2005 Food Safety Management System certified. Product list: Chilled & frozen mutton meat, Chilled & frozen goat meat and Chilled & frozen veal and beef meat.
